The tug is the drug, and if you know you know. Keep your ears warm with this great cuffed beanie as you wait for that elusive tug on the line or dip in the tip. We made this Beanie for ourselves for swinging flies on the Ronde, others liked it so here you go. If you're a summer steelhead guy or gal also check out our hats with the same patch.
This fly is one of our favorites and has hooked many steelhead in the Pacific Northwest. This hat would make a great gift for your favorite fisherman.

Our custom leather patches are designed and created here in Lewiston, Idaho. Each patch is made of top-grain leather. Our Chestnut leather bigfoot patches are riveted onto our favorite beanies.
Our hats are made to order, and the placement of each patch may vary slightly.
The Beanie
Gently wash your beanie by hand using warm water. Your Beanie patch will weather nicely, but it's not made to go through the washing machine. Avoid high heat as the Beanie is made of Acrylic.
We are a small shop in Lewiston Idaho, the gateway to Hells Canyon, The Lewis and Clark Trail, and the Nez Perce and Clearwater Forests. Airplanes, Jet Boats, Fishing, Hunting, the outdoor recreational opportunities are unlimited. When you buy from us you are buying the whole experience. So grab a hat or tumbler, see what we are all about and join the gang.
Jason bought his hat from me last year. He is a member of a Helitack crew that I fly around in the summer. It was all I could do to pry this hat off him for a quick picture. He has a brand new one on the shelf, but this is the one I see him wearing. We are pretty confident when you grab one of our hats it will look like this one day.
When I say we are a small company I mean it. Mostly it has been my Golden retriever Kirby and I. We now have Malyn who is making us look cool on Instagram and editing product listings. We can't forget Kylie a recent LHS grad who makes a mean hat. We are looking to add more decorated apparel services in the future and I'm sure the team will continue to grow.
Our patches stay stuck. Heat pressing is our default method to attach patches. We use an industrial heat seal and attach the patches with heat and pressure.
These patches do stand the test of time however do have a few limitations as far as water goes. They stand up to hard physical activity just fine, a quick in the river, creek or pool is no problem.
I do not recommend the washer and dryer.
Hand stitched patch hats. This is the classic look for Leather Patch Hats. I do love this look and so we bought the equipment and set out to learn how.
It took a year of on and off practice, endless frustration, but we stuck with it and are now proud to offer this option for a small fee. We are charging $4.00 per patch for this service, and love the look.
Hand stitched hats may take just a bit longer, and hand sewing is limited at this time to the more basic shapes.
